India 11: Solo motorcycling to Sangla & Chitkul
Often described as on e of the most dangerous roads in the world due to the 2-300 meter vertical drops into the valley! And it was probably the most scary, becuase the car and bus drivers are simply insane, Luckily there weren't many and I escaped unscathed. I was working as well (essay marking) for the rest of the trip so a bit limited on footage. Anyway, it is what it is and it was great!!! Just go there!

India 5: Solo Motorcycling Zanskar Valley, paved, off road, crash and joy!
Переглядів 84821 день тому
This is the "best" bits from the two longer vids (5a and 5b). This was 26th August 2024, the day after my Jispa - Leh journey. The Zanskar Valley road from Chilling Village to Lingshed/Padum was supposedly closed, but it's passable. They are paving all of it, so this is probably the last chance to do what's left of the old track. I'm going North to South between 10am and 3pm. It's a stunning ri...
India 8: Solo Motorcycling Manali to Kaza Incredible road!!

What a day! It was brilliant. I started this section about 11 and arrived on Kaza at 7. I had a a lunch break but lost an hour along the way... It was about a third old track and 2/3rds roadworks. The Border road org are clearly going to pave this road too so if you want to do it as an off-road adventure, then 2025 is probably, like most of the area, your last chance. Sadly I lost my phone and ...
India 7: Solo Motorcycling Padum to Keylong via Shinku La pass
Переглядів 162Місяць тому
After 2 days of tummy troubles (remember the water supply in Lingshed!) I had to get back on the road. It was a hard day and very very cold up there. I was disappointed to find that the whole road is now paved, aall the way and up and down. The famous old track no longer exists although you can see the odd bit of it from the brand new road. Music by Unicorn Heads.
India 6: Worst road ever!! Spectacular off-road solo Motorcycling Lingshed to Padum
Переглядів 383Місяць тому
Don't stop on downhill sloping corners on off road tracks! This is the worst "road" I have ever been on. This video is mostly just me making my way down from 4500m in Lingshed back to the Zanskar river track. This was my first day properly "out there". It was epic. Really hard work, over 17, 000 feet at one point. It was a long day leaving Jispa at 8am and arriving at 7pm at a homestay a few km west of Karu, about 25km south -east of Leh. maps.app.goo.gl/N1PQARA45xZNvsMv6 Music Bhairavi - Sitarkhani - Aditya Verma, Subir Dev Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): uppbeat.io/t/ra/prospect License ...

Laos 1: solo motorcycle ride in mud!

This is the first of two vids showing my five day solo trip in the August mud in northern Laos. I did the Luang Prabang / Ponsaven / Sop Lao / Nong Khiaw / Luang Prabang loop. There was a lot of mud after Sop Lao! But on the Honda CRF250 with knobblies it was fine. In truth I'd rather not have had knobblies overall and didn't really need them. They aren't great in slippery shallow mud, and I ca...
Vietnam 2: Ha Giang Motorbike trip

My son and I met up for the first time in four years, due to living on opposite sides of the planet, and went on a DIY tour in the NE of Viet Nam in Ha Giang. The famous loop plus the trip to and from Hanoi. I was still ill from some weird Asian bug, but I tried to get some decent footage, mostly of James :-) Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): uppbeat.io/t/kaleidoscope/the-hero-returns L...

the funniest shit 😂😂😂😂
RIP PH Moriarty. And of course Lenny.
Explore the killar - kishtwar route in the same route There was a route named 'The Cliffhanger ' - was absolutely crazy , unfortunately the govt closed it . Chitkul is one of the most gorgeous places I have seen
oh dont mute the bike sound with the music bro...and i think you need a better action cam
Never a dull moment! Great journey. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, the mountains and gorge are stunning, the river is amazing. Great start to my day in the US. Safe travels!
And in winters this ENTIRE area is covered in snow with temperatures reaching as low as -35°C!!
@akshxtpatel So it would be difficult to travel during winter, I imagine. I bet it is still just as beautiful. To see with my own eyes would be a dream come true.
@@RebelSkye-y3c it is difficult indeed. But in winters it's literally heaven. In summer times, I wouldn't recommend it because it's hella dusty and hot. 4x4 expeditions are open for 12 months straight. Only bikes and Minibuses are not allowed until the roads are cleared. You should definitely check out places like Sonamarg, Pahalgam & Gulmarg in Kashmir, India. Gulmarg is the only place in India where Lupine flowers bloom & has the second longest and highest cable car in the world. Kashmir is the real heaven.
'old on!
Hello, Great Video. Where did you start from this day? Manali to Kaza is about 180km on google maps. Did you ride through the tunnel or go over the Rohtang Pass? I have travelled Kaza - Manali in a car in 2015 and hope to ride Kaza - Manali by motorbike in July 2025. If I do, I expect to go from Kaza to Losar on the first day, then Losar to Manali the following day.
Fabulous! Thank you.
Damn pretty much all of Shinkula Pass is paved now heh? :). I really need to do it this year before all of Zanskar is ashpalted out. Looks like a blast tho :)
Awesome - great ride and thanks for sharing - lucky you get a little bit of "adventure unpaved". I want to do this next Sept., and rather go solo rathe than in the large groups they have - be great if i could chat with you about it if you have time. Enjoyed your videos- thanks
It's a heck of an adventure and I could/should have been more ambitious but had to get back to wifi for work. I didn't need waterproofs except for one day, wear bike gear (I have Rev'it Eclipse top and bottom.. perfect) you don't need power, and download maps to your phone coz there's no mobile signal anywhere. If you have any riding experience it's not that dangerous, just hard work. It was amazing, but it will be far more paved next year for sure. I'm off to Nepal in May for some more! Have a great trip!
@@steve.disney Awesome - who did you rent bike from?permits/, issues? - Have a great time in Nepal - loved it there- thanks again
I don't know what you're going to do if you have a flat tire in the middle of nowhere.
Always an issue! These bikes have tubed tyres so can be fixed on the go. I did get a flat a couple of days later.
incredible isnt it
Hats off to you. 👍

Barry the baptist
Hey Steve! Welcome to India❤️ Liked your vlog and appreciate that I would suggest you to please be a bit louder in the video and decrease background music volume. That will be. Helpful.
Why do they even care how good the other bloke is, when they're going to be cheating anyway?
this movie is a badass, underrated, masterpiece
If they ever make a marvel movie about the thing , Barry would be perfect for the role .
And when Alan Ford gets done doing something: “Now, piss off.”

One of the best films ever made proud of Britain and it combined different cultures before it was forced down our throats (I’m speaking as a London Jamaican)
Lenny Maclean was dying during the making of this film, shows how tough he was, that he got through it all while often out of breath and in a lot of pain.
A sex shop isn't a bad front tbh
That man literally looked like the kingpin

Were Baz alive nowadays, he would be an influencer on IG naming himself - TheOnlyTrueBrexitGeezer. Don't think anyone else could beat him.
